On this episode of the King's Guide, Chuck takes a ride in Mark Schafhausen's Bucker Jungmann biplane, which has an incredible history you won't believe. (Watch the episode here: BUCKER JUNGMANN
The plane was once owned by the stunt pilot Mira Slovak, who won the 1966 Diamond Cup on Lake Coeur d'Alene, and before that, escaped from Russian-occupied Czechoslovakia in a hijacked DC-3 (in 1953).
It's an incredible story that just couldn't be told in the typical social media 90-second vertical format, so here it is, oriented horizontally, and ten minutes long.
Special thanks to Dave Williams and the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum for the historic footage of Mira Slovak.
